Shark Dissection: A Jawsome Experience!

Dive in and learn how to create your own Shark Week! This session guides participants through a hands-on dissection of a dogfish shark. Take a bite out of Next Generation Science Standards® related to adaptations and structure and function while giving your students an experience they will never forget.

Dissecting a dogfish shark allows students to develop their dissection and observation skills, identify major external and internal features of the shark, understand form and function, and gain a better understanding of vertebrate and fish anatomy.
