Candace Berkeley, MS, earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After teaching biology lecture and labs at the university level, Candace came to work at Carolina Biological Supply Company in Burlington, North Carolina where she serves as the product manager of preserved materials and microscope slides.

Jennie Baker, MBA, MP, is a product manager for Carolina Biological Supply Company, Burlington, North Carolina. She manages the company’s anatomy, physiology, and allied health product lines. Jennie collaborates with Carolina’s development team to bring new and innovative hands-on labs to market. She also works with a range of outside educators and universities to expand and improve the company’s materials and offerings. Baker has 10 years of classroom experience teaching high school and college students. She has presented at dozens of national conferences and leads engaging professional development workshops.

American Physiological Society
Brooke Bruthers is the Director of Member Communities for the American Physiological Society, Rockville, Maryland. She is responsible for the Society’s overall education, career, and professional development opportunities and has over 20 years of experience. Brooke works closely with educator, researcher, and trainee communities. She leads the Society’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and has published and presented APS program outcomes at local and national meetings.
