Do you think science is a difficult subject? If so, Ahmed is ready to change your mind.
Ahmed wanted to prove to his younger niece and nephew that they could do science, even though they felt they weren’t good at the subject. That backyard project was the beginning of Kits Cubed—a youth-led, nonprofit corporation founded by Ahmed to make affordable, fun, and easy-to-use science kits and experiments that will inspire elementary and middle school kids.
Ahmed put together a team of other dedicated students and created a website to sell the kits. He uses profits from kit sales to donate kits to children who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to do science.
Ahmed has distributed thousands of kits to schools around Oakland, California, to share his passion and make science accessible to children in his community.
